Cuora galbinifrons
As one of the largest Cuora species, Cuora galbinifrons is highly endangered especially for human consumption.
Deforestation and poaching make it a vulnerable species throughout its range.
This is why Cuora galbinifrons is one of the priority species for conservation programs.
Like Cuora bourreti, significant chromatic variations in Cuora galbinifrons have been observed and suggest that there are different populations.
Several studies to estimate populations of Cuora galbinifrons will be conducted in 2019 by Turtle Sanctuary.
